Hello?

*cough* Well, this blog has been a bit neglected lately. Wait, was that a tumbleweed rolling past? I promise to improve my blogging and hope, there are still some of you lovely people out there reading this. Books that wanted to be illustrated kept me busy. Just last week I finished one (this little fellow is a tiny sneak-peek).
And on a more tearful note, yesterday the heart-breaking news arrived that Maurice Sendak has died…here is a little video of him talking about death and life and making books. Take a look at this lovely farewell illu (<--click) that Fred Blunt did.

*hust* Ist noch jemand da? Ich muss ja zugeben, dass mein Blog ein bisschen Patina angesetzt hat und schwöre hiermit feierlich die Blogfrequenz wieder zu verbessern! Indianerehrenwort! Ich hab' in der Zwischenzeit fleißig Bücher illustriert. Letzte Woche ist eins fertig geworden, in dem unter anderem Kater Eberhard da oben vorkommt. 
Und da gestern die traurige Nachricht kam, dass Maurice Sendak gestorben ist, hier noch ein Video, in dem er über den Tod, das Leben und Büchermachen spricht. Und hier <-- noch eine wunderschöne Abschiedsillu an Maurice Sendak von Fred Blunt. Die sagt eigentlich alles.

  4. Ich habe gerade deine tollen Illustrationen entdeckt und mich sofort in den Kater Eberhard verliebt! Den hätte ich gerne immer zur Begrüßung wenn ich mein Laptop anmache...
    In welchem Buch kann ich ihn finden?

  5. Liebe Miss Herzfrisch, na, der Eberhard freut sich und wird ein bisschen rot. Eberhard gibt's im Buch »Carlotta und der Muskelmann«, erschienen bei Nilpferd in Residenz. Hier ist der Link--> click. Allerdings ist Eberhard nur eine kleine Randfigur. Im Buch geht's hauptsächlich um die dicke Dame Carlotta und ihren Mops Oskar. Eberhard braucht unbedingt mal ein eigenes Buch ;)
